About Leigh FOB

A familiar bond.
A new place to belong.

Why Leigh FOB exists, and the people it brings together.

Built around belonging.

Leigh FOB began with Army veterans in Greater Manchester who understood how much the everyday company of service can be missed. They wanted a local place where that connection could continue.

Today, the weekly coffee morning is at the heart of the group. It is a meeting place for veterans, serving personnel, families and the wider service community.

What does FOB mean?

FOB stands for Forward Operating Base. Here, it means a steady point in civilian life: somewhere to pause, find company and work out your next step.

Sometimes that next step is speaking to a specialist organisation. Sometimes it is coming back next Tuesday.

What matters around our table.

Brotherhood

Looking out for one another, across different services and generations.

Family

Recognising that life after service affects partners, relatives and friends too.

Support

Listening, making connections and knowing when specialist help is needed.
