Start with what you can offer.
You do not need to arrive with a grand plan. There are different ways to be part of the FOB, whether you have served or simply care about the local community.
Come along.
If you are a veteran, serving member of the Armed Forces or a family member, join a coffee morning. A new face is part of what keeps a community growing.

Talk to the team about volunteering. Tell us what you enjoy, the skills you could share and how much time you can realistically give. Roles and arrangements should be agreed with the CIC before you begin.
Make a useful connection.
Local organisations and businesses may be able to offer a venue, an activity, practical help or a connection to an appropriate service. Bring an idea and discuss it with the directors.
